In fact, it was a forgery, but it deceived many people at that time. It was not until 1934 that two young British Cadbury catalogue research methods proved that the paper was printed in 1847, and the printing font was made after 1874, and it was 188 years later that the truth came out.

But the ghost of the lie seems to have been lingering until September 1999, when a binding and printing in the United States paid great attention to Portuguese sonnets. When other love poems were compiled and introduced, they still said so. Bai Langning and his wife came to Pisa from Paris, where she showed the sonnets to her husband.
We used to pursue a closed policy for quite a long time, and the overseas cultural information was relatively closed. The situation improved in the early 1910 s, but I translated and wrote a sonnet. When I was young, I was able to write Bai Langning’s 1915 mainly based on other reference materials, which was too old and correct. I unconsciously repeated this talk based on the Portuguese sonnet in 1945 in Erdian, Crowe, new york.
In fact, Bai Langning first read his wife’s love poems in an Italian summer resort in 1849, and it was not until 1894 that this group of poems was written in a single line for the first time by EdundGsse. In the preface, he also recognized another one. In 1847 and 199, I looked up some monographs at the Bai Langning Library in the United States to find out the cause and effect of this case-solving. I felt ashamed to read it, and I made up my mind that I should rewrite a more accurate and reliable record for Mrs. Browning, who is interested in these fourteen poems.
In 1955, the clumsy translation was renamed lyric sonnet because of its awkward name. I didn’t expect that this booklet had the largest print run and was the most popular among my translations at that time, but its life was short, only two or three years before and after. How memorable it was for individuals or for the nation, and it passed away too fast. In 1958, this translation was going to be printed in the fourth place, giving knowledge points. The mental pressure was getting heavier and heavier. I volunteered to stop printing this book against my will.
Unexpectedly, in the ten-year turmoil of the national catastrophe that day, this poem has long been extinct because of the increasingly terrible spiritual rule. It is still deeply imprinted in the mind of that year, and now it is secret to copy it by hand. The lyric sonnet in days of darkness has become a cherished article. At that time, young men and women were confined in the spiritual desert and never had the opportunity to get in touch with such a beautiful spiritual world. This love poem is like an oasis for them.
After the political clown who brought disaster to the country and the people was arrested, the translated poem regained its artistic life. In the past three years, 19884 has been reprinted for nearly 350,000 copies, and it has been printed several times before and after the 1950s. When 40,000 copies were taken according to Ba Jin’s famous novel Cold Night, the hero and heroine were engaged in a touching scene. They both read the first love poem in the group of poems in a deep tone on both sides of the candlelight. Love is always full of fire. One read it in the newspaper the year before last, and said that it served as a token of his wife’s union. A foreign woman
The arrangement of this poem along the metrical feet of Italian sonnets is abbaabbaddd, which is limited to four rhymes. Compared with Shakespeare’s sonnets ababddefefgg, which can be changed rhyme seven times, the skill is obviously more difficult. I am limited to the ability to translate nine poems according to rhyme, and the other 35 capitals have translated them into rhymes with roughly five tones per line. Of course, it is necessary to give up rhyme and lose the lingering style of poetry, but I can’t help it. I think it’s better to pray for God and give up the form as much as possible. I’m meticulous and loyal. Isn’t Homer’s epic Shakespeare translated into many languages? Many of them are prose translations. I feel that the art of translation is a pity after all. This time, some of the translated poems have been rearranged and revised
This time, we have added some love letters to the poetess’s feelings, but reading her love poems in comparison helps us to understand the tortuous development process of that extraordinary love, and we can also see the poetess’s temperament and talent from another side. She is not elegant and elegant, and she is permeated with a special sense of humor, which is rarely seen in her love poems.
Artist Mayer FMayer’s 45 love poem silhouette illustrations are rich in decorative style, and now each poem is read with a picture to add appreciation. The cover design is fresh and elegant, which is carefully designed by old friend Cao Xinxiong.
In September, 1999, I was warmly arranged by Professor PrfJakHerring, an expert from Bai Langning in the United States, to visit the ArsrngBrwringLibrary of BaylrUniversiyWa in Bellow, Texas, which is famous for its rich collection, and was treated by guests. The manuscript of Mrs. Browning’s Portuguese sonnets was collected by the Mongolian museum. I sat at the table of the poetess before her death and watched the poetess’s beautiful handwriting face the ancient people for a century and a half. However, with the winding handwriting of Mianlian, it seems that people can vaguely recognize the turbulent feelings of the poetess at that time. This is a rare honor and a deep feeling. During the visit, I had the opportunity to read many collections in the library. I would like to express my gratitude to Professor Helin, who has been the curator for 25 years, and now Dr. Brock, the curator.
In order to write a diary, I have accumulated some reading notes at ordinary times, and selectively read two volumes of love poetess Bai Langning. Some of them are better than others, but the most helpful one is Ms. Foster, Elizabeth Balet Bai Langning. This large-scale diary of up to 500,000 words is the best one I have read, which is unknown to the facts, and I also want to thank her for her in-depth understanding of the main activities, and at the same time give me a tribute.

Sentiment selection translation
In 1889, shortly before his death in Venice, Bai Langning entrusted his son with a wooden box inlaid with cabinetwork, which contained his wife’s letter to the Ministry. In 1898, the two poets published two volumes of Bai Langning-Barrett’s letter to the public. In the history of literature and art, they had written romantic novels in Chinese style, but in real life, they were rarely seen with such a million words. They were read and loved for fourteen years and reprinted six times. Here are a few letters and some fragments according to the 11th translation in 1934.

Dear Miss Balet, I love your poems very much. This letter I am writing to you now is by no means a casual compliment letter, no matter what it is. This letter is by no means smooth and perfunctory, boasting about how talented you are, but it is indeed a kind of sincerity. It was the first time I read your poems a week ago, and I have been thinking about how to express my feelings to you over and over again since then. I really want to laugh when I remember this scene. I was crazy this time. I’m used to breaking the traditional simple appreciation. Why not? I really get the pleasure of appreciation, and my admiration is full of truth. Maybe I’ll try to find fault with some of your shortcomings as a loyal colleague should do, and contribute a little help to make me proud in the future, but it’s a waste of effort. Your vigorous great poem has infiltrated into my body and mind, and every wonderful flower has taken root in my heart and sprouted, so that these flowers can be dried and crushed, and the petals are clamped with great care. It would be unrecognizable to add some words to the page and then put them on the shelf. But then again, I’m not finished yet. Maybe one day I can do this because I can talk to anyone who is worth talking about you. I admire the fresh and wonderful musicality, the rich language, the delicate and exquisite sentiment, the true and novel and bold thoughts. But this is the first time that I am talking to you directly. What’s the matter? I almost saw you once. I can really see you. One morning, Mr. Canning asked me if you wanted to meet Miss Balet. After asking, he informed me, and then he came back. You were not feeling well. It’s been many years. I think this is an unfortunate thing in my life. I have almost reached the holy place. I just lifted my hand and lifted the curtain, but I feel like I still have a slight obstacle across it. Although it is subtle, it is enough to make people cross the bridge and then the half door is finished. So I folded it.
Well, will these poems be forever or hidden in my heart, the feeling of heartfelt thanks and happiness
Always be loyal to you
Robert Bai Langning.

Dear Mr. Bai Langning, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You wrote that letter to bring me some happiness. Even if my life is not finished, I should still thank you. However, my life has been successfully completed. It is especially worth cherishing for me to write such a letter. But a poet and such a poet’s resonance have reached the extreme of sympathy for me. Are you willing to accept my gratitude and repay me? Besides, I have to admit that there is no such noble account in everything from Tyre to Carthage as sympathy and resonance in exchange for gratitude.
Besides, your kindness is attracting me. Once you give too much sweetness to someone, don’t drive him away again, whether it’s a matter of course or not. It’s a tolerable fact. I want to say that you have to hesitate a little before you say it. You are not inconvenient or energetic. You are willing to get rid of your negative state for a while and point out the obvious shortcomings in my poems. Of course, I dare not bother you with trivial criticism. Then you have given me an unforgettable favor. I value your opinion so much. I am already there. I’m looking forward to it from a distance. I’m not going to describe myself as a person who can accept criticism with an open mind. I’m probably not obedient to your opinions, but I have great respect for your artistic skills and experience as an artist. I believe you are willing to point out that you are my main weakness. After listening to it, I will never get a general opinion. I dare not ask you to give me one or two sentences. I’m bored with this point. I’m expressing my wishes in a small way. I am the best at it, especially when they ask for help. I think most of them want me to change my style. But that’s not the same as denying people. Buffon said that in fact, every serious person will definitely feel the literary man. Unfortunately, this fact is hard to expect to make some critics calm down.
Is it true that I was almost lucky enough to know you? Do you really feel a little sorry to miss this opportunity? But you know that if you are there, you may be hard to catch cold or bored to death. You would rather keep it far away than when you come from thousands of miles away. But I have imagined that I will explain it to you with the words of knowing that I am not blessed. I hope that after missing an opportunity, I will have another opportunity to make up for it. Winter closes me up, just like it closes the eyes of the Dormouse. In the spring, we will see, and then my life will be much better. It seems that I have turned over and faced the outside world. At the same time, I have figured out that your heart is not from your poems, but also from the kindness in your poems.
I have written too long, although it has been too long, I still want to add that I owe you a debt of gratitude. This warm letter you wrote to me has brought me joy, and the other side is the noblest side. I want to say that if I continue to pursue this lofty poetic art, then I am loyal to my love for poetry, and I must also be your passionate love for life. This is what I want to say in my heart, and now I finally say it.
You are grateful and loyal.
Elizabeth Balet.

Dear Miss Balet
The warm spring is really coming, and the birds know it very well. I will see you in spring, and I will definitely see you. When I wanted to do something and didn’t finish it, I asked myself without strange anxiety.
When I took the stationery, I was going to write a long article about it, but now I’m afraid that I’ll see you soon, I said
Tell me that you are writing a plan now, and don’t call it gratitude to me anymore. Yes, I am grateful, and I am very grateful to you.
Always loyal to you
Robert Bai Langning.
